We’re fans of the (still) trending industrial rustic look, so it was fun to be in an industrial setting for our most recent room photo shoot at the Minneapolis Photo Center – Northwind Warehouse Lofts.
Inspiration.
Built in 1885, the building was formerly a sash, door, and blind factory. Of course the loft spaces have had some updates since then, but it was so interesting to see all of the character that still exists in the building.
The exposed ceilings, aged brick, and worn concrete had such a warmth, appeal, and a sense of history that doesn’t typically come with a new space.
And that warmth, character and patina are why, even though many of us will never live in an old factory, we still want to incorporate elements of this style into our homes.
Get the look.
The good news is, the industrial rustic look is an easy one to get creative with, and you can add as much or as little of the influence as you like – even in new spaces!
