Summer’s not quite officially here yet, but we’ve already experienced a decent amount of warm and sunny summer-like weather this spring.
And, along with the sunshine, blue skies, and colorful hues of summer outdoors, usually comes a craving for a fresh splash of color in our indoor spaces as well.

But today we’re taking our summer bedroom inspiration from these beautiful rooms styled by some of our vendors. Interestingly enough, they’ve all chosen shades and tints of coral as their accent color.
Reminiscent of summer sunsets and sorbets, coral is a spirited red-influenced orange that works great as a color pop against deep browns and grays, or layered in with softer tones of sand and driftwood.
Contrast this cheerful hue against white (in any shade from crisp to mellow) and it takes on even more energy.

Coral also plays well with other colors. We love the unexpected dash of grayed-down lilac in the bedroom above, and a pop of faded denim blue (below) is perfect for a summer vibe.
A splash of vibrant yellow could also be fun, or how about turquoise (a mixture of red and orange’s complimentary colors)?
