Schneiderman’s Rocked for Bridging!

Schneiderman’s and Bridging had a great day on May 1st at our Plymouth showroom.

With the help from our silent auction donors, staff, and customers we raised more than $3800 for Bridging! Plus we nearly filled a giant semi truck with furniture donations from our customers and with a huge bedding donation from our Schneiderman’s Employees!

We’d like to join Bridging and thank everyone who participated by reiterating this statement from

  • The first annual Schneiderman’s Furniture Rocks for Bridging event raised over $3,800.   Schneiderman’s staff, customers and donors filled our Bridging truck with beautiful furniture and household items that will turn empty houses into a comfortable place to call home.  Thanks to Bill Hermann Entertainment for your creativity, wild and wacky games and to our Media partners; KARE11 TV, KSTP TV and Plymouth Magazine for allowing us to share our event and Bridging story with the community.  Thank you to SUBWAY Restaurants for providing sandwiches to our volunteers and prizes for games and donors.  And lastly, thanks to all our volunteers who helped with games, silent auction and loading the trucks. We hope to see you next year!

It was a fantastic event and we truly had an amazing time. We’d also like to thank all the donors to our silent auction, which was one of the major draws of the event:

Schneiderman’s Rocks for Bridging Shout Out!

Schneiderman’s Rocks for Bridging really rocked! We had a great turnout for the games and the silent auction and Bridging received a truck full of useful donations from our customers and employees. I’ll have photos and more details soon but I wanted to give a quick shout out to Stephanie and her “My NEW New Years Resolution” blog. She has the fantastic idea of trying something new every week and writing a blog post about it. We were lucky enough this week that she chose our Schneiderman’s Rocks for Bridging event as her weekly adventure.  Check out her post and look at how much fun she’s having in the pictures!

Thanks Stephanie! You inspire us all to take advantage of the various cool things this city has to offer.

Convey it With Color – GREEN!

First of all, did you take advantage of the free subscription to Midwest Home Magazine? Seriously, it’s an unbelievable offer for a really great magazine. See my previous post to sign up for your free year subscription.

Now, on to my favorite color ever – GREEN! Perfect for Spring in Minnesota. My tulips and daffodils are just starting to peak their leaves out of the ground, I’m so excited! Enough of my rambling, on to Chad’s article about the delightful, fresh, fun, brilliant, versatile GREEN!

Green is life. Abundant in nature, green signifies growth, renewal, health, environment, peace and ecology. Green is a restful color with some of the same calming attributes of blue. Like blue, time moves faster in a green room. Because there is a natural balance of warm and cool undertones, the color green denotes balance, harmony, and stability. Use several shades of green for a fresh, springtime feel. Green with blue produces echoes of nature – water and forest and can denote new beginnings and growth. Green with brown, tan , or beige syas organic or recycled. Bamboo greens are hot right now.

Green is definitely restful, peaceful, and fresh! With today’s focus on green energy and green living, the color has come to symbolize a complete movement!

You’ll love all the ways you can decorate with green. Create your own little zen paradise with a green living space in cool green tones and natural accents, you won’t go wrong.

You can find a variety of green options at Schneiderman’s Furniture. Take a look at the way green is used to highlight and accent this Origin Bed from Aspen Furniture. Also, this bed is made with environmentally sustainable bamboo panels, so the bed is “green” and it uses the color “green”!
