When we first saw this room featuring pieces from the Sherborne and Bellagio Collections we were smitten. Absolutely beautiful furniture and some really great design details!
If you’re as smitten as we are, we’ve identified some ways for you to get this same look in your space:
1. Statement Bed.
The bed is typically the focal point of the bedroom and this bed definitely deserves statement status! It also adds amazing texture to the space.
2. Mismatched Nightstands.
Nightstands don’t have to match, and they don’t necessarily even need to be nightstands.
3. Dramatic Light Fixture.
You can’t miss the overscaled orb pendant light, but the aged metal finish and light, airy design keep it from competing with the bed and focal point wall.
(This furniture could also handle larger scale lamps than shown, and getting the lamp heights to match would be as simple as adding a large book under one.)
4. Showcase Wall.
A rustic wood wall with a moody, matte charcoal finish adds another layer of rustic elegance in this space. It’s a striking design element that draws even more attention to the bed in this room, and finishing it off with crisp white trim makes it pop.
5. Table at the end of the bed.
It’s very common to see ottomans or benches at the foot of the bed, but in this case they’ve jumped out of the box a bit by using a cocktail table, and it’s working for us! Add baskets or boxes for additional storage.
6. Layer Rugs.
Layering two neutral rugs, each with a different texture, adds softness and interest to the floor.
Staggering the rugs, instead of fully layering one on top of the other, makes for a unique look.
6. Keep it Simple.
They’ve carefully chosen larger scale, unique furniture pieces and lighting, and played with contrast and texture for a simple, yet elegant design.
