Many of us are drawn to the warmth, character, and patina that comes with the industrial look, but we would like to use it in our spaces in a slightly more refined way. Today’s bedroom is a perfect example of doing that well.
This Industrial Chic bedroom incorporates unique industrial design influences (like we talked about in our Industrial Rustic post), but it has an overall softer, and more refined, vibe.
Here’s the rest of the room, and our take on this look:
The bed.
The key furniture piece, and focal point, of this room is the beautiful Legacy Classics Metalworks Metal Bed. It doesn’t take too much observation to figure out that it’s also one of the main reasons that this room leans to the softer side.
Legacy designed the bed with an elegant crisscrossed design that softens the look of the aged metal and gives it an almost-delicate feel. As you can probably tell, it’s design was also very much influenced by the old elevator doors that you see in factories and older buildings. It’s such a statement-making bed that it would take any bedroom to the next level, industrial or not.
Solid bedding in beiges, warm whites and charcoal compliments the bed but doesn’t compete with it. Accent pillows in soft patterns make the bed feel complete, as well as giving another nod to pretty.

The furniture.
The Metalworks night stands, dresser, chest and upholstered bench are crafted of oak solids and oak veneers with cast bronze color hardware. Their slightly rustic look blends well with the bed, but definitely isn’t matchy-matchy. A great take away tip for making any room more unique.
(Bonus: Features like felt-lined and cedar lined drawers, silver trays, built-in outlets and creative storage options are also featured in this collection.)
The room.
This loft has many of the hallmarks of industrial spaces. Aged brick (some natural/some painted), worn wood floors, factory windows, metal, and exposed pipe all lend to the character of the room.
Most of these would be easy to add in small, or large, ways to your own space.
We love the character of brick walls so much that we decided to recreate the look in one of our own rooms. You can see the finished aged white brick walls and get the step-by-step DIY tutorial here.)
