When it comes to game day, holidays, potlucks or any time you’re entertaining, snacks shouldn’t be complicated. The food should be simple to make, easy to eat, and delicious, of course!
A dip or two are usually on the menu, and today we have two that definitely check all of the boxes above.
BUFFALO RANCH CHICKEN DIP
If you’re a fan of buffalo chicken, odds are really good you’ll love this first recipe. I first tasted it when a friend made it, and knew immediately I’d be making it again!
It’s just the right mix of cheesy, buffalo saucy goodness, and it’s not too hot or spicy.
(Bonus – it’s a slow cooker recipe so it’s easy to keep it warm for snacking throughout the game.)
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken OR 2 – 10 oz. cans chunk chicken, drained
- 16 oz. cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup Ranch dressing
- 3/4 cup pepper sauce (I use Frank’s *Red Hot Buffalo)
- 1 1/2 – 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
DIRECTIONS
Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet or pan over medium heat until heated through. Stir in softened cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring often, until well blended and warm.
Mix in 1/2 of the shredded cheese, and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker.
Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top. Cover and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly, then turn slow cooker setting to Warm.
Serve with celery or your favorite cracker or chip.

TEXAS CAVIAR
Up next is a hearty (and much more interesting) alternative to salsa. It’s fresh and zesty, and the slightly sweet marinade is the perfect compliment to a salty scoop.
