When it comes to design trends, no matter what your design style or preferences, there’s usually a little something for everyone. Proof positive? Just as much as neutrals are trending, so is color!
In a recent High Point Market update to our staff, Chad, Visual Display Manager for Schneiderman’s, said “Anything goes really does describe where color is headed in furniture these days.”
Blue definitely remains a front runner – from navy to cobalt to lapis to pale blues – and Chad had some suggestions for using it:
“Pair with white for a more traditional approach, with tangerine for a pop of color or, my favorite, mix it with virtually any other cool tone from turquoise and lucite green to lavender and a mix of other blues for a fresh take.”

In addition to blues at market, there were bold, beautiful colors, like coral and tangerine…
and soft, muted pastels like blush and lavender, as well as deeper colors like marsala, terra cotta, custard and gold.
All of these colors play well with the currently popular warms grays as well as the dirty brown neutrals, so mixing and matching is easy.
Where are you at with color? A little or a lot? Bold or muted?
