Since Christmas is almost here, most of us are probably done with much of our holiday decorating, and have moved on to last minute gift shopping, baking, and planning the holiday meal.

Today we’re sharing inspiration to help with one of those things – getting the dining room ready for Christmas dinner.

Here are a few creative last-minute ideas for  your holiday dining room…

1.  Centerpieces.

All of the serving dishes at a holiday meal can sometimes make it difficult to have room for a centerpiece, but they do add a nice festive touch to the table.  (And you can always use a buffet or sideboard to free up space – we can help you with that).

For a quick and easy DIY centerpiece idea, a wreath is probably as simple as it gets. Buy a natural wreath (I purchased mine at Home Depot), add some ornaments, place a candle holder and candle in the middle, and call it good!

2. Place Cards.

Layers play a big part in a successful room design, and setting your table is no different.  Place cards are one of the easiest ways to add another layer of interest and, more importantly, a personal touch to your table.

3. Lighting.

Add Christmas ornaments and greenery to your dining room light fixtures for some added additional sparkle and texture.

Do one or the other, or mix it up and do both.
