Creative Decorating: A Quick Furniture Change-Up

When it comes to decorating, I get bored fairly easily… Ok. Really easily.

That’s why I know that, in my house, it works best to go neutral with my major furniture pieces and get more creative and colorful with other elements in the space that I can easily switch out.

Layering a fabric runner, a throw, or sheepskin on furniture to change up the look occasionally is perfectly in tune with the quick and creative change-up mentality.

It’s an easy way to get a fresh look for the season or when you’re just craving a unique statement.

It’s amazing how just changing a few things in a room can make a person excited to walk through that door! Accessories like you mentioned make a huge difference for sure – my dental hygienist was just telling me they had been in their home for 10 years and finally just finished their space with accessories, throw pillows (which her husband and son “don’t get”) and art. She loves walking in that room and gets great comments every time friends or family come over. I think I might have to find some new throw pillows for my leather sofa!
